In January 2020, I publicly posted that I would write a song about the topic of your choosing for anyone who donated $10 or more to Bernie Sanders' presidential campaign and sent me receipts. We raised over $250 for Bernie's campaign before it was suspended, and I wrote these 14 songs for the folks who donated, posting videos of me performing them solo on acoustic guitar.

A few months ago, I decided to make "proper" recordings of all of these songs, and tracked all of them in about a week or two at home. The results are scrappy and fun, like a lot of the pets I wrote about.

In the spirit of the original prompt, I'll be donating all proceeds from this album, not to a politician, but to Roc Food Relief.
